Minimum requirement:

► Junior Certificate (or equivalent).


► Ventilator experience/setting up/calibrating and ordering of stock.

Competencies (knowledge/skills):

► Ventilatory life support technical expertise and experience.
► Ventilatory life support knowledge and effective communication.
► Sufficient ventilator equipment knowledge to immediately identify faults.
► Effective knowledge of stock control and stock ordering and knowledge of hospital administration and reliability, communication skills and team work ability.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):

► Clean and set up the workshop, calibrate and troubleshoot ventilators (areas covered: Medical/Surgical/Neuro/Cardio Thoracic ICUs /Trauma Emergency and all peripheral wards).
► Assists with ICU Ventilator troubleshooting and offers a service to other hospitals eg Lentegeur.
► Administration, ordering of stock tenders ,repairs ,keeping stats records and servicing of ventilators.
► Disposable stock evaluations for Head Office.
► Communicate with Medical Companies and Representative’s Quality control.
► Condemn Equipment/Ventilators, evaluating new ventilators on trial from the Medical companies.
