Requirements: Minimum educational qualification: ► Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s) of the post.
► Appropriate practical experience in patient/office administration and experience in Clinicom and knowledge of Chapter 18.
Inherent requirement of the job:
► Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
► Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
► Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and ability to maintain confidentiality.
► Ability to accept accountability and responsibility and to work independently and unsupervised.
► Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and e-mail).
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
► Admit and register patients and ensure availability of patient folders.
► Patient assessment and accurate data recording.
► Accurate collection and safekeeping of state money and patient valuables.
► Responsible for handling of patient enquiries.
► File patient folders and documents on a daily basis.
► Record keeping, retrieving of patient folders, trace old folders, compile new folders and destruction of folders.
